The DIRFloortime Coalition of California (dirfloortimecoalition.com) will be hosting a live virtual fundraising event on August 7th from 9-11am Pacific (12pm-2pm Eastern) to raise funds to support advocacy for developmental interventions.  The DIRFloortime® Coalition of California is a group of parents and professionals working together for over 10 years to raise awareness about many evidence-based developmental approaches to treatment for autism and other developmental challenges and to support advocacy efforts.  
 
People with autism and other developmental challenges and their families struggle to access needed services and must fight to achieve inclusion in the community. They often confront discrimination, misunderstanding, and barriers to access to services, work, independent living, and overall quality of life.  More than ever, advocacy is needed to give voice to their needs and place a priority on maintaining critical services that are best suited to every individual. Please join with us to celebrate every individual and advance our mission of decreasing barriers to needed services and inclusion!
 
The live on-line event will feature:
*Musician/entertainer David Feder www.davidfeder.com
*Mini demonstrations and lessons presented by children with autism
*New Info about: Developmental Research, Help with Difficult Behaviors, Self-Determination Program
*Stories of Floortime from parents and professionals
*Games for all to join
 
Funds raised will support advocacy to improve access to developmental services, and to ensure that all children and families that choose a developmental approach can receive the services they need.
